The Studio

Studio time is booked in one-hour blocks, and your block includes your own setup and breakdown — so plan enough time to get in, create, and reset the space.

Anything you see in our photos is here for you — lots of props and furniture, textured linens, furs and throws, robes and shoes, and plenty of little styling details. We have abundant natural light; if you like to add a boost, bring your own lighting equipment.

Bring the team you need. We recommend keeping it to around 10 people across the space — each room is a standard size, so you won't fit everyone in one room, but you'll have multiple rooms and areas to spread out. Never been in before? Schedule a walk-through anytime.

Yes — we warmly welcome boudoir and artistic nude photography. So the studio stays comfortable for the many creatives who share it, we simply ask that all work stay tasteful and artistic in nature; explicit or pornographic content isn't permitted.

A staff member meets you, lets you in, and is around throughout your session if you need anything — while giving you space to do your thing.

Style away with what's here — just check with the studio attendant before making any major furniture moves. We keep the space beautiful and ready for the creatives coming in after you.

Yes — because we rent to professional creatives, we ask that you carry your own liability insurance.

Yes — unused monthly hours roll over according to the terms of your membership agreement, so the time you've paid for won't disappear.

Yes. If you need to step away, you can pause for a $50 hold fee that month, which keeps your spot and your membership position. You can pause up to 2 months in a row and up to 4 months total per year. Without a pause, stepping away means reapplying when space next opens — so the pause is the easy way to hold your place.

We're at 103 Pennsylvania Avenue in Frederick — just look for the beautiful green house, you can't miss it! There's street parking out front, plus dedicated spots in our back lot (the back lot is reached from around the block). We're happy to point the way when you book.

Absolutely — we just ask that food and drink stay in the kitchen area when possible. No red wine, please, but champagne is welcome. Please enjoy responsibly and follow all applicable laws.

Yes to all three. There's Wi-Fi on the property and a private bathroom, and because the studio is yours for your booked time, you have multiple rooms and spaces to change.

There are a few steps up to the front doors (about 4 in front, 6 in back). Our Open Set (coming soon) is ground-floor with no stairs.

On a case-by-case basis — just reach out so we can talk through the space and your plans. Our gardens are lovely for pet portraits, and the Open Set (coming soon) works for including the family dog. To keep things comfortable for everyone, non-service animals aren't allowed inside the main studio.
